Enneagram Basics - What is Enneagram?

Enneagram is believed to be a Sufi way of classifying human personality types and it seems to have its origin in Afghanistan. Enneagram is 2000 years old. Eneagram was initially a oral tradition that was passed on my Sufi masters who revealed to the individual disciples that part of Enneagrm that is pertaining to that individual. It has become popular among the Christian circles in the late 90s.

The Sufi Ennieagram teaches one to look into oneself to discover one's own personality types. The term enneagram has Greek origin, 'enneas' meaning nine. The nine types are listed below.

Ones:
Perfectionists, Reformers, Judges,

Twos:
Givers, Assistants, Helpers,Caretakers,

Threes:
Performers, Achievers, Status Seekers

Fours:
Artists, Romantics, Aesthetes, Individualists,

Fives:
Observers, Thinkers, Experts, Investigators,
